conosco i segni dell'antica fiamma
I know the old fire's signs...
they oblige me to go through shadows,
through desolate lands, through the deep night
quae nunc has ire per umbras
per loca senta situ cogunt noctemque profundam
because vivit sub pectore vulnus,
the wound burns inside my chest—
I myself am the sacrifice, in my present body
adhiyajno 'ham eva 'tra
dehe dehabhrtam vara
Boughs and woods, the echo of old tears, yet more vividly remembered. Visions surface from memory... What's the blame? Whose the injury? Man, woman... Through the deep night you go, crippled souls, imaginary universal men, but with real body and blood (F. Dostoevskij). No more mystery in you? The time is midnight...past and future... Chaotic precipice of two nothingness depths -- see, her bridge is Light (A. Neher). Radiant heat blazes the trail: new are the identical forms.
